As a Registered Auditor (RA) with the Independent Regulatory Board of Auditors (IRBA) and a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), we are able to attend to all your auditing and financial statement requirements

You are probably asking, does my business / body corporate / home owners association require an audit? Private Companies and Home Owners Associations are governed by the Companies Act, 2008 while Body Corporates are governed by the Sectional titles Act, 1986. We have summarised the applicable legislation for each entity below in order to help answer your question:

Small – Medium sized businesses registered as a private company are required by the Companies Act, 2008 to be audited. Companies have the option to have their financial statements independantly reviewed which may be appropriate under certain circumstances.

Body Corporates are required by the Sectional Titles Act, 1986 to be audited. A scheme that consists of less than 10 units may appoint an accounting officer to sign the financial statements (no audit is required)

Home Owners Associations are required by the Companies Act, 2008 to be audited. As with companies, they have the option of having their financial statements independently reviewed.
